Section 13: The Executive Committee

The Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayala University Act, 2013State Act of Kerala · Act 24 of 2013

The Executive Committee shall be the chief executive body of the University and shall consist of the following members, namely:—

(a) Ex-officio members

(i) The Vice-Chancellor;

(ii) The Pro-Vice-Chancellor;

(iii) Secretary to Government in charge of the Higher Education Department;

(iv) Secretary to Government in charge of the Finance Department;

(v) Secretary to Government in charge of the Cultural Affairs Department;

(vi) Two Chairmen of the Faculty Advisory Committee to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor for a period of one year;

(vii) One Vice-Chairman of the Research Council to be nominated by the Vice- Chancellor for a period of one year.

(b) Elected members

(i) One member elected by the elected members of the General Council from among the Directors of Schools in the General Council;

(ii) One member elected by the elected members of the General Council from among the teachers in the General Council;

(iii) One member elected by the elected members of the General Council from among the students in the General Council.

(c) Nominated members Three eminent writers, artists and scholars who are members in the General Council nominated by the Chancellor.
