The Metropolitan Planning Committee, if any, constituted by the Government under section 54 of the Kerala Municipality Act, 1994 (20 of 1994), shall prepare or get prepared a Spatial Perspective Plan for the Metropolitan Area, which shall be the spatial component of the draft Development Plan for the Metropolitan Area envisaged under section 54 of the Kerala Municipality Act, 1994 (20 of 1994) and exercise such other functions assigned to it under this Act.]
