When a declaration has been made in respect of any treasure trove under sub-section (1) of section 8, such treasure trove shall, in accordance with the provisions hereinafter contained, either be delivered to the finder thereof or be divided between him and the owner of the place in which it has been found, in the manner hereinafter provided.
