Section 29: Research Council

The Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Act, 2010State Act of Kerala · Act 3 of 2011

(1) There shall be a Research Council consisting of—

(i) the Vice-Chancellor,

(ii) Deans of the constituent colleges,

(iii) two Directors or eminent scientists from the Research Institutes within or outside Kerala; and

(iv) two Department heads from each college.

(2) The members of the Research Council shall be nominated by the Vice- Chancellor in consultation with the Management Council.

(3) There shall be a Director of Research, appointed by the Vice-Chancellor, who shall be the Convenor of the Research Council.

(4) The duties of the Research Council shall be as may be prescribed by the Statutes.

(5) The term of the Research Council shall be three years or as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
