Section 24: Offences to be tried summarily

Any Magistrate empowered to try in a Summary way the offences specified in sub-section (1) of section 260 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1989 (Act XXIII of 1989), may, if such Magistrate thinks fit and if an application is made in this behalf by the complainant, try any offence under this Act in accordance with the provisions contained in section 262 to 265 of the said Code.
