The Lakshadweep Fire and Emergency Service Regulation, 2026.Regulations · 2026

(1) The Government may, by notification, appoint a Director or Chief Fire Officer of the fire and emergency service with such qualification and experience as may be prescribed, who shall exercise such powers and perform such duties and other functions as are specified by this Regulation or as may be prescribed.

(2) The Government may, by notification, appoint such other officers and employees as may be necessary to assist the Director or Chief Fire Officer.

(3) The Jurisdiction of the Director or Chief Fire Officer so appointed shall extend to the whole of the Union territory in matters relating to fire and emergency service.
