Section 30: Controlling Officer

A Leader of the Opposition shall be his own Controlling Officer for purpose of travelling allowance. After a Leader of the Opposition relinquishes office, the Secretary, Maharashtra Legislature Secretariat shall be the Controlling Officer for the purposes of the travelling allowance bill of the Leader of the Opposition in respect of his and his family’s journey back to his usual place of residence and for the transfer of his personal effects. Such bills shall be preferred within a period of six months from the date of relinquishment of office.
