Licensing of Tenements and Sites and Services in Chandigarh Scheme, 1979Union territory Regulations of Chandigarh · 1994

(1) In addition to the licence fee prescribed under the preceding rule, the licensee, whether of a tenement or of a site. shall pay water and electricity charges at such rates as may from time to time, be determined by the Chief Engineer, Union Territory, Chandigarh.

(2) The Competent Authority may revoke any licence if any licensee commits default in the payment of water or electricity charges for a period of thirty days from the receipt of notice of demand in writing.

(3) Such notices shall be served by delivering the same to the defaulter in person or any adult member of his family. If it is not possible to serve the notice personally, the notice shall be deemed to have been validly served if it is affixed at the outer door or any other conspicuous place or near the tenement or the site as the case may be.

2J. The licensee shall conform to the provIsions of the Capital of Punjab (Oevelopment and Regulations) Act, 1952, and the rules made thereunder.

24. The licensee shall not sublet, assign or otherwise part with possession of the tenement or the site as the case may be.
