(1) No inspection fees shall be payable on medium voltage equipment installed within high voltage and extra high voltage installation, but fee shall be payable for Booster, Capacitor Bank, Generator, Reactor, Motor, Transformer, Breaker/Panel installed within high voltage and extra high 1048 (10) 11~~, ~29~2011 voltage installation as the rate specified in the schedule of Part-I (2) on each equipment in accordance to their capacity.
(2) For the generator installed in medium voltage/ high voltage/extra high voltage installation, inspection fees shall be payable as the rate specified in schedule Part-I(2).
(3) For the approval of drawing of new electrical installation or addition or alteration of installation, eighty percent of rates of inspection fees shall be payable in advance as specified in schedule.
(4) Inspection fees for Cinema, X-rays, High voltage Neon sign tubes, Lift, escalatorand generator, shall be payable in each case separately.
(5) For the internal installation of marriage/nursing homes/hospitals/ hotels /shopping mall inspection fees shall be payable as the rate specified in (1) and (3Jof Part-lI(i) of schedule and transformers and generators installed in these installations, inspection fees shall be payable as specified in schedule Part-I(2).
(6) "Kilovolt amperes" or "BHP" or "KVAR" shall be read instead of "Kilowatts" wherever the machinery or equipment is so rated.
(7) Government water works, sewage pumping stations are exempted from the levy of inspection fee.
(8) Escalator or Lift installed in medium voltage/ high voltage/extra high voltage installation, Inspection fees shall be payable as per the rate specified in schedule Part-III(2).
(9) Inspection fee for generator or cooling plants in cinema installation shall not be payable separately.
(10) Payment of Fees- The fees shall be paid by the owner or his agent into a Government Treasury under the head:
Revenue Head for installation except cinema Revenue Head for Cinemas 0043-Taxes and Duties on Electricity 102-Fees under the Indian Electricity Rules and 0043-:Taxes and Duties on Electricity 103- Fees for the Electrical Inspection of Cinemas and the Treasury Chalan shall be sent to the Electrical Inspector or Assistant Electrical Inspector.
(11) The fees shall be paid before the date shown below:
(i) For existing installations except those coming under category part-II (i) (2) and (ii) (2) above, the fees shall be paid before 1st May in each year. The fees payable by the Madhya Pradesh Poorva/ Paschim/ Madhya Kshetra Vidhut Vitran Company Limited, Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited and Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company 1i~~, fc:::ricf> 29~ 2011 Limited for their installation shall be paid within one month from the date of receipt of the bill after the inspection.
(ii) For installation coming under part-II (ii) (2) above, the fee for respective half year shall be paid before 1st May and 1st November. In case the installation is not in use on the above dates, the fees for the each half year shall be paid before the installation is used.
(iii) For the new HT/EHT/Producer (Generator) installation or new cinemas including additions or alterations, the fees shall be paid in advance and the Treasury Chalan shall be sent to the Electrical Inspector or Assistant Electrical Inspector along with the application for inspection or approval of such installations. The inspection fee of the new installations shall be payable 50 % more as specified in schedule part-I (2).
(iv) For other new installation including addition or alteration and seasonal factories, the fees shall be paid before the installations are brought into use.
(v) Fee payable for additional inspection shall be paid before the date specified by the Electrical Inspector in each case.
(vi) Fees under category part-I (6) shall be levied only for each subsequent inspection necessitated due to breach of any of the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 or rules or regulation made their under, separate fee shall be payable for each service line tapped from the same pole.
(12) In case the fee is not paid before the dates shown in clause (11), the fee payable shall be increase by 20%.
(13) In case the inspection or additional inspection is not carried out, the fee paid shall be adjusted towards that payable for the sub-sequent year or half year.
(14) If any new installation is brought into use during the last two months of the financial year, the annual fee paid shall be deemed to cover the short period of the year in which the fee is paid as well as the full period of the next financial year.
(15) If any installation is disconnected or dismantled before an inspection is carried out no fee shall be charged.
(16) In case of motors or other apparatus for power purposes installed on trial for a period not exceeding 15 days, no fee shall be charged.
(1 7) "Year" for the purpose of this notification means a financial year from 1sl April to 31 sl March.
(18) The fee prescribed above will be payable for each periodical inspection as per frequency of inspection shown above. First or initial inspection will be deemed to be the periodical inspection for the period in which the inspection has been carried out. For each additional inspection carried out due to breach of any of the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 or rule 1048 (11) 1048 (12) 11~ mrq:;[,~ 29~ 2011 and regulation made thereunder or the Cinematograph Rules and Regulations, one half of the previous inspection fees will be charged.
Part-IV - DISPUTES If the Chief Electrical Inspector or Electrical Inspector is called upon to settle any difference or dispute arising under the Electricity Act, 2003 or the rules made there under or under any agreement, the following fee shall be payable.

On receipt of application in connection with a difference or dispute between a consumer and licensee as to the correctness of any meter, the Electrical Inspector will arrange with the consumer and the Licensee to attend at the premises of the consumer. The Electrical Inspector will take charge of the meter which is not to be disconnected from the circuit except in his presence and then only by the Licensee.

(1) In case 10 or more meters of the some range and specifications are to be tested if one batch or voltage is to be tested 10 times or more within a continuous period at every hour or half an hour, the fee payable shall be half of the fee shown above. .
(2) The above tests will be carried out to the extent of the facilities available.
(3) If in case of dispute, the testing of meter is found necessary, a fee for such testing shall be in addition to the dispute fee.
l1~~,~ 29~ 2011 1048 (13) . (4) The fee for test other than shown above and found necessary shall be charged at such rate as the State Government may fix from time to time.
(5) For testing of any equipment or sample an application shall be given as per attached form. The equipment and terminals shall be in healthy condition. Any auxiliary equipment necessary for the test shall also be produced.
(6) The fee payable shall be deposited in the Government Treasury and the Chalan sent to the Electrical Inspector.

We hereby agree that we shall not claim from the Government of Madhya Pradesh or the Electrical Inspector any compensation for any damage to or loss of the apparatus due to any cause whatever during time to it remains in the custody of the Electrical Inspector.
