Section 32: Power to enter for repairs and to prevent accidents

In case of any accident happening or being apprehended to a canal. Any canal, officer or canal subordinate, or any person acting under his general or special orders In this behalf, may enter upon any lands adjacent to such canal, and may execute all works which may be necessary for the purpose of repairing or preventing such accident.

(2) In every such case the Executive Engineer shall tender compensation to the proprietors or occupiers of the said lands for all damage caused thereto. If such tender is not accepted, the Executive Engineer shall refer the matter to the Collector and compensation for the damage shall be determined as though the State Government had directed the occupation of the land under part VI of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (No.1 of 1894) Section-33-35] M.P.IrrigationAct,1931 [17
