Section 55: Cancellation of agreement by mutual consent

(1) An irrgation agreement may be cancelled by mutual consent between the State Government and the Permanent holders of not less than twothirds of, or not less than 95 percent of the permanent holders of, the land under agreement at the time of such cancellation.

(2) The provisions of sections 48, 49, 50, 51 and 52 shall apply to the cancellation of an irrgation agreement as if consent to the cancellation were consent to the making of such agreement.
