Section 2: Definitions

The Madhya Pradesh Panchayat and Rural Development Department Class III (Ministerial and Non-Ministerial) Service Recruitment Rules, 1992State Rules of Madhya Pradesh · 1993

In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(a)"AppointingAuthority" in respect of the service means the Development Commissioner, Madhya Pradesh;

(b)"Board"means the Madhya Pradesh Junior Service Selection Board;

(c)"Examination" means a competitive examination for recruitment to the service held under rule 11 of these rules;

(d) "Schedule" means the Schedule appended to these rules;

(e)"Schedule Castes" means any caste, race or tribe or part of or group within a caste race or tribe specified as Scheduled Caste with respect to the State ofMadhya Pradesh under Article341 of the Constitution ofIndia;

(f) "Scheduled Tribes" means any tribe or tribal community or part ofor group within a tribe or tribal community or part of or group within a tribal or tribal community speciLed with respect to the State of Madhya Pradesh under Article 342 of the Constitution of India;

(g) "Service" means Panchayat and Rural Development Department Class III (Ministerial and Non-Ministerial) Service.
