Section 5: Staffing Pattern in the Panchayat Service

(1) The staffing pattern of Panchayat Service shall be such as may be determined by the State Government, by general' or special order, from time to time: .

Provided that prescribed authority of being satisfied by the proposal of Panchayat may increase or reduce the number of posts included in the service, either. on a permanent or temporary basis for the concerned Panchayat.

(2) The prescribed authority may convert any temporary post which is continued for five years contiriuously into a permanent post.
