(1) These rules may be called the Prevention and Control of infectious and Contagious Diseases in Anirnals (Chetk Post and quarantine carnp, manner of inspection.etc.) Rules, 2OlS.
(2) The5z shall come into force from the date of their publication ul lJ:e Madhya Pradesh Gazette. Delinitions.- (1) In these rules un-less the context otherwise requires,-
(a) "Act" means the Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Anima_ls Act, 2OO9 (No. 27 of 2OO9);
(b) "Form" means forms appended to tl:ese rules.
(c) "Section,, mears section of the Act;
(2) Words emd expressions used but not delinecl in these r:ules shal( have the szrme meaning as assigned to them in the Aci. (ii) increase in body temperature;
(iv) ulcer in the mouth, feet or udder;
(v) excessive lacrimation, nasa_l or vagina-l discharge; ("i) sweating and shivering;
(vii) dryness of t-Ile skin, alopecia, slcin rashes;
(viii) weakness;
(ix) bleeding through narura_l openings; (") swelling in dewlap region or any other part of the bod.y;
(2) The person in charge of check post or quaralline station sharll a-lso collect the necessary samples for laporatory examinatior:., if required.

(3) The person in charge of check post may detain animals at the check post for a period not exceeding twelve hours for the purpose of inspection, compulsory vaccination and identification/marking etc. the owner of the animals vaccinated shatl be given a vaccination certificate at the checl< post as required by section 9 of the Act.
(4) After careful examination of th.e animal, the officer in charge shall either allow entry of the anima-l to the notjfibd control area or free a::ea by issui::g an ent'ry per':rr,it in lrorm A appended to these rules or: transporl tl-re ani:mals to t}.e quar-antine carnp.
(5) Charg,es for examining animal shall be as follows.-(i) for examination (Rs. 1o/- for large arrimals and Rs,s/- for small animals), vaccination (Rs. 5/-. for large animals and Rs.2/- for small animals) and -ear- tag5;ing or any suitable method of identification of enimal (Rs.lo/-- for larg;e and small animals) shall be borne by ttre animal owner.
(ii) other expenses at check post shall also be borne by the imima] owrrer. Animal to be detained by the oflicer-rn-charge of guarantine camp.-
(1) The officer-in-charge of the quarantine camp shall detain the following alimals:-
(i) which are suffering from any scheduled. notified d.isease; or
(ii) which have come into contact wit]. or have been- kept in dre proxirnity of anirnal in-fected wit-h a scheduled notifred disease; or
(iii) transported by the incharge of check post as mentionecl in sub-rule
(4) of rule 3; or
(iv) any species of arrimals affected by any scheduled disease as rnay be notified at the time of exit from the controlled, area. shall be subjected to a quara,tine.of 14 days in a quarantine camp.
(2) the offrcer-in-charge of quararrtille camp shatl give an ack'owled65ement to the animal owner for the animals detained in the quarantine cimp in F'crrn,B appendei. to these rules.
(3) Durring quarantine, the animals shal] be id,entified by ear-taggng or any ottrer suitable method of identification bearing unique number, animals shail be examined reguiarly for any scheduled disease. Animal shall be vaccinated against the scheduled disease and provided vrrit]: vetr:rinary treatment, if requiied, if animals are vaccinated, the owrrer of t$.e anirnal shedl be provided with a vaccination certilicate as requir-erl in section 9 of' the Act.
(a) (i) The charges for exa-rninalion (Rs. ro/- for large anirnars a'd Rs.5/- rbr sma-ll animals), vaccination (Rs. 5/- for large a,imals and Rs.2/- for small animals) and ear tagging or ariy suitable method of ideltiljcation bf a,imal (Rs.lo/- for large arrd small anima-ls) shall be borne by the animal owner. qqR{r {tGlrt;{, k{ifi 24 orq-R 2o1s 692 (1) animal owner; \ " (5) After successful quarantine, the officer-in-charge of quarantine carnpshall release the anjmals to the animal owner and also graret the " qu.rrotine Rerease permit as p"r ror*-c appended to these rules underhis signature. Form-C shall also serye as Entry permit as required in sub-secLion (2) of section 15 of the Act.
5. Jrirlsdiction.- , If any question or any doubt ar-ises in relation to the interpretation of thescrules, the matter shall be referred to the Director of Animar Hrisbandry,Government of Madhya pradesh whose decision thereon shan be f'ral and bind.ing.
