The appointment of all Police Officers shall, under such rules as the Governor in Council shall from time to time sanctions, rest with the InspectorGeneral of Police and the Deputy Superintendents, who may under such rules as aforesaid at any time dismiss, suspend, or fine to any amount not exceeding one month’s pay, any Police Officer whom they shall think remiss or negligent in the discharge of his duty, or otherwise unfit for the same.
