Section 16: Inspection at special times

The Maharashtra Boiler Rules, 1962State Rules of Maharashtra · 1923

No examination of boiler shall be made by Deputy Director for the purpose of registering or issuing a certificate for a boiler or of steam feed and blow off pipes under fabrication, or of boiler mountings and fittings under manufacture or of a boiler or its component under fabrication on a Sunday or any holiday on which the offices of the State Government or the Central Government remain closed or between the hours of sunset and sunrise without the specific orders of the Director in each case.

In such cases an extra fee equal to the usual fee prescribed under Rule-39 shall be charged and half of the extra fee paid to the Deputy Director.
