Section 4: Penalty.

The Bombay Judicial Proceedings (Regulation of Reports) Act, 1955.State Act of Maharashtra · Act 18 of 1955

Whoever contravenes the provisions of this Act shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both; and any newspaper, book or document (including all copies thereof) in respect of which an offence has been committed shall also be liable to be forfeited to the State Government.
