Section 11: Exemptions.

The Maharashtra Compulsory Teaching and Learning of Marathi Language in Schools Act, 2020State Act of Maharashtra · Act 3 of 2020

(1) The Government may, by general or special order, published in the Official Gazette, and subject to such conditions as it may deem fit to be specified in such order, exempt any student or any class of students from all or any of the provisions of this Act, either in part or in whole.

(2) The power under sub-section (1) may also be exercised by such officer of the Government, not below the rank of Deputy Director, School Education, specially empowered by the Government by an order published in the Official Gazette.
