Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement.

The Maharashtra District Planning Committees (Constitution and Functions) Act, 1998.State Act of Maharashtra · Act 24 of 1998

(1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra District Planning Committees (Constitution and Functions) Act, 1998.

(2) It extends to whole of the State of Maharashtra, excluding the Scheduled Areas declared by the President of India, from time to time, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 6 of the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution of India.

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
