Section 3-C: Wage rate.

The Maharashtra Employment Guarantee Act, 1977.State Act of Maharashtra · Act 20 of 1978

(1) The wage rate specified by the Central Government under section 6 of the Central Act shall be the wage rate for the purposes of this Act.

(2) Until such time as a wage rate is fixed under sub-section (1), the minimum wage fixed by the State Government under section 3 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (11 of 1948), in its application to the State of Maharashtra, for agricultural labourers, shall be considered as the wage rate applicable to that area.
