Section 59: General provision for punishment of offences.

The Maharashtra Highways Act.State Act of Maharashtra · Act 55 of 1955

Whoever contravenes any provision of this Act or of any rule or order made thereunder shall if no other penalty is provided for the offence, on conviction, be punished-

(a) for a first offence with fine which may extend to [five thousand rupees],

(b) for a subsequent offence with fine which may extend to [one thousand rupees].
