The Maharashtra Jeevan Authority Act, 1976.State Act of Maharashtra · Act 48 of 1976
(1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra [Jeevan Authority] Act, 1976.
(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra, excluding the cantonment areas.
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act; and references in any provisions to the date of commencement of this Act shall be construed as reference to the date of commencement of that provision.
