22. Co-ordination of activities of [the Authority] and other local bodies.- If the State Government is of opinion that it is in the public interest that [the Authority] and other local bodies having jurisdiction over contiguous areas should co-ordinate their activities in relation to water supply services or a sewerage services or both, it may issue such directions to [the Authority] and the other local bodies concerned as it may think fit. It shall be the duty of [the Authority] and other local bodies to comply with such directions.
