Section 54: Power to disinfect tanks, pools and wells.

The Maharashtra Jeevan Authority Act, 1976.State Act of Maharashtra · Act 48 of 1976

Any officer or servant authorised by [the Authority] in that behalf may have any tank, pool or well, cleaned or disinfected after notice to the owner or occupier, if any, when it appears that such cleaning or disinfection will prevent or check the spread of any dangerous disease. The cost of cleaning or disinfection shall be recoverable by [the Authority] from the owner or occupier of such tank, pool or well.
