A Presiding Officer shall be his own Controlling Officer for purposes of travelling allowance. After a Presiding Officer relinquishes office, the Secretary, Maharashtra Legislature Secretariat, shall be the Controlling Officer for the purpose of the travelling allowance bill of the Presiding Officer in respect of his and his family’s journey back to his usual place of residence and for the transfer of his personal effects. Such bills shall be preferred within a period of six months from the date of relinquishment of office.
