Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement.

The Maharashtra Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 1971.State Act of Maharashtra · Act 46 of 1971

(1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 1971.

(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra.

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
