Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement.

The Maharashtra Merged Territories Miscellaneous Alienations Abolition Act.State Act of Maharashtra · Act 22 of 1955

(1) This Act may be called the [Maharashtra] Merged Territories Miscellaneous Alienations Abolition Act.

(2) It extends to the merged territories in the [pre-Reorganisation State of Bombay, excluding the transferred territories.]

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.
