Section 13: Powers and functions of General Council.

The Maharashtra National Law University Act, 2014.State Act of Maharashtra · Act 6 of 2014

The General Council shall have the following powers and functions, namely :-

(i) to review from time to time the broad policies and programme of the university and suggest measures for the improvement and development of the university ;

[(i-a) to make statutes concerning the administration of the affairs of the university including appointment and removal of officers and employees of the university and prescribing the procedures to be followed by the authorities and the officers of the university in discharge of their functions ;]

(ii) to consider and pass the resolution on the annual report, financial estimates and the audit reports on such accounts ;

(iii) to perform such other functions as it may deem necessary for the efficient functioning and administration of the university.
