Section 28: Persons not registered or on the List not to practise as nurse.

(1) No person other than a person registered under this Act or a person whose name is entered in the List shall practise or hold himself out, whether directly or by implication, as practising habitually or for personal gain, as a nurse.
(2) Any person who acts in contravention of the provisions of sub-section (1) shall, on conviction, be punished with fine which may extend to [one thousand rupees] for the first offence, to [two thousand rupees] for the second offence, and to [five thousand rupees] for any subsequent offence.
