Section 26: Registration and State Register.

The Maharashtra Paramedical Council Act, 2011State Act of Maharashtra · Act 6 of 2016

(1) As soon as may be, after the commencement of this Act, the Registrar shall prepare and maintain a State Register of [paramedical practicing personnel] for the State, in accordance with the provisions of this Act.

(2) Every person who possesses any of the recognized paramedical qualifications, specified in the Schedule and who desires to practice as [paramedical practicing personnel] shall, on making such application to the Registrar alongwith the proof of such qualification and on payment of such fee as may be prescribed, be entitled to have his name entered in the State Register. Such registration shall be valid for a period of five years and it shall be incumbent duty of the registered person to get his registration renewed in the manner determined by the regulations.

(3) The Council shall cause to be maintained the State Register of the [paramedical practicing personnel] in such form as may be determined by regulations.

(4) The State Register shall be deemed to be a public document within the meaning of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 (1 of 1872).
