Section 90: Power to establish cattle-pounds and appoint pound-keepers.

(1) [In any area [(other than [Brihan Mumbai])] under the charge of a Commissioner], the Commissioner [* * * *] shall, from time to time, appoint such places as he thinks fit to be public pounds, and may appoint to be keepers of such pounds Police officers of such rank as may be approved by the State Government.

(2) Every pound-keeper so appointed shall, in the performance of his duties be subject to the direction and control of the Commissioner, [* *].
