( J) .In every Receiving Centre or Institutions the Superintendent shall-maintain a register of money, valuables-or effects, if anty; found with or on persons received therein. - * (2) On a person being received in such Centre or Institution, the money valuables ... or effects, if any, found with or-on him, on search and inspection under Section 18 and taken possession of shall be entered in such register and the entries - in the register shall be read over to him, and in token of the correctness of such entries, his signature taken in the presence of the Superintendent.

(3) All entries in such register shall be attested by the Superintendent.
