Section 124: Power to obtain information.

The Maharashtra Prohibition ActState Act of Maharashtra · Act 25 of 1949

(1) The [Commissioner] or Collector or any Prohibition Officer specially empowered in this behalf by the [State] Government or a Police Officer may, by order require any person to furnish to any specified authority or person any such information in his possession concerning any intoxicant, hemp, mhowra flowers or molasses as may be specified in the order.

(2) If any person fails to furnish any information in compliance with the order made under sub-section (1) or furnishes false information, he shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees or with both.
