Section 2: Definitions Maharashtra Prohibition of Child Marriage Rules, 2022. State Rules of Maharashtra · 2007
(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,—
(a) “Act” means the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 (6 of 2007);
(b) “Child Welfare Committee” means a Child Welfare Committee constituted under section 27 of the Juvenile Justice Act;
(c) “Form” means a form appended to these rules;
(d) “Juvenile Justice Act” means the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 (2 of 2016).
(2) The words and expressions used in these rules but not defined herein shall have the meanings as are respectively assigned to them in the Act.
