Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement.

The Maharashtra Public Libraries Act, 1967.State Act of Maharashtra · Act 34 of 1967

(1) This Act may be called the Maharashtra Public Libraries Act, 1967.

(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra.

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in that behalf; and different dates may be appointed for bringing this Act into force in different areas of this State.
