Section 5: Term of office of and allowances to members of Council.

The Maharashtra Public Libraries Act, 1967.State Act of Maharashtra · Act 34 of 1967

(1) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, at the members of the Council, not being members ex-officio, shall hold office for a term of three years commencing on the date on which the first meeting of the Council is held after the nomination of the members under sub-section (2) of section 3.

(2) The members of the Council shall be entitled to such compensatory allowances and at such rates as may be prescribed.
