Section 15: Circulating Library

The Maharashtra Public Libraries, ( Recognition for Grant-in-aid Building and Equipment grants ) Rules, 1970.State Rules of Maharashtra · 1967

A public library shall not be classified ar a "Circulating Library" unless-

(1) the public library makes available library service in one or more places in a locality wher\( a stationery library service is not available;

(2) the library sends sets of books to different places and exchanges them regularly or takes such sets of books and issues them to the public in different locality :

Provided that the circulating library shaJI be either an independent library or a part of a library falling under" A" or .. B " Class library.
