3. Establishment of State and Divisional Boards.- (1) The State Government shall by notification in the Official Gazette, establish a Board for the whole State by the name of "the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary [and Higher Secondary] Education".

(2) The State Government shall likewise, by notification in the Official Gazette, establish a Board for each of the [* *] Divisions under such name as may be specified in the notification.
