Except as specifically provided in the foregoing sections of this Act, every reserve police officer shall for all purposes be deemed to be a police officer as defined in the Bombay Police Act, 1951 (Bom. XXII of 1951), and the provisions of that Act shall, except in so far as they are inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, apply to every such reserve police officer.
