Section 14: Election of members of Town Vending Committee from amongst street vendors

Maharashtra Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) (Maharashtra) Rules, 2016Central Rules · 2014

(1) The Labour Commissioner or his subordinate officer not below the rank of Labour Officer shall, by a notification, express its intention to conduct elections for the members of the Town Vending Committee representing the street vendors of the area under the jurisdiction of the local authority.

(2) The Labour Commissioner shall appoint a returning officer not below the rank of Labour Officer for conducting the election for the members of Town Vending Committee representing the street vendors of the area under the jurisdiction of the local authority.
