No tenancy of any land [other than the tenancy of the land duly sanctioned under section 36 or section 36A of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 (Mah. XLI of 1966)] shall be terminated merely on the ground that the period fixed by agreement or usage for its duration has expired].
