Section 4: Powers and functions of State Committee.

The Maharashtra Witness Protection and Security Act, 2017State Act of Maharashtra · Act 9 of 2018

The State Committee shall exercise the following powers and perform the following functions, namely :-

(a) to monitor the protection provided to the witnesses under the Act ;

(b) to give necessary directions to District Committees and the police stations for protection to the witnesses ;

(c) any other powers and functions as may be prescribed.
