1. Short title and commencement :—
(1) These rules may be called the Manipur Consumer Protection (Fifih Amendment) Rules, 2015.
(2) This shall come into force with effect from 2nd day of June, 2015.
2. Amendment of Rule 6~F0r sub—rule (1) of Rule 6 of the Manipur Consumer Protection Rules, 1989, the following shall be substituted, namely :— ‘(l)(a) The President of the State Commission if appointed on whole time basis shall receive salary equivalent to salary of a sitting High Court Judge minus pension plus 80 litres of POL per month and if appointed on part time basis shall receive an honorarium of Rs. 10,000/- per month and Rs. 500/- per sitting.
(b) Other members of the State Commission if appointed on whole time basis shall receive salary equivalent to lastpay drawn minus pension in case of retired Government employee, plus 501itres of POL per month otherwise Rs. 18,000/— per month plus 50 litres of POL per month in case the incumbent is not a former Government employee and if appointed on part time basis shall receive Rs. 300/- per sitting.
