Section 41

The Manipur Highways Act, 1979State Act of Manipur · Act 15 of 1979

(1) Where in pursuance of clauses (3) and (4) of Section7 or in exercise of the poners under Section 39 or 40, the highway authority desires temporarily to close any highway or part of it to traflic or to restrict or regulate traflic thereon in any manner, it shall in writing request the authority authorised to control traffic under Part V of this Act to enforce the restrictions in the said manner.

(2) Where such arequest has been received from ahighway authority, the authority empowered under Part V to control traflic shall take all necessary measures to enforce the said restrictions in accordance with the provisions of that ‘part.
