The Manipur Highways Act, 1979State Act of Manipur · Act 15 of 1979

(1) Where, in pursuance of sub—section (3) of Section 8, :a highway authority wishes to have a survey made with a view to the preparation of authoritative plan or plans for any highway in its charge, it shall request the State Government in writing to order the survey and appoint a Survey Ofiicer for the purpose.

(2) If, on receipt ot‘such request and after making such further enquiries as may be deemed necessary, the State Government is satisfied about the need for such survey, it may, by notification published in the official gazette, order that the proposed survey shall be made and shall simultaneouslyappoint a Survey Officer for the purpose.
