92. Any Canal Officer duly empOWered under this Act mayr accept before the institution of a prosecution under this Act, from.

any person, against whom a reasonable belief exists that he has;

committed an offence punishable under this Act or the rules made thereunder, a sum of money as may be prescribed but not exceeding;

two hundred rupees, by way of, composition for such offence.

l . ‘H. (1) Whenever any sum is to be paid by any person under this Act and the sum has not been paid within the time prescribed far attch payment, it shall be recoverable as arrear/arrears of land revenue with interest not exceeding twelve percent per annum as may be prescribed.
