Section 15: Powers of State Government to make rules

The Manipur State Commission for Women Act, 2006State Act of Manipur · Act 13 of 2006

(1) The State Government may, by notification, make rules for carrying out the provisions ofthis Act.

(2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:-

(a) salaries and allowances payable to and the terms and the conditions of service of the Chairperson and the Members under sub-section (5) of section 4 and all ofi'icers and other employees under sub-section (2) of section 5.

(b) the form in which the annual statement ofaccounts shall be maintained under sub-section (1) of section 13;

(c) the form in which and the time at which, the annual report shall be prepared under section 11.

(3) Every rule made under this Act, shall be laid, as soon as may be after it is made,» before the State Legislature, while it is in session, for a total'period of 14 days which may be comprised in one session or in two Or more successive sessions, and if, before the expiry of the session immediately following the session or the successive sessions aforesaid, the State Legislature agrees in making any modification in the rules or State Legislature agrees that the rule should not be made, the rules shall thereafter have effect only in such modified form or be of no effect, as the case may be; so, however, that any such modification or annulment shall be without prejudice to the validity ofanything previously done under that rule.
