A person sbaii be qualified to be appointed as a pro �..,��onal member in a Grievance redress al and dispute resolution committee, if he -
(i) is above thirty-five years but is not more than sixty�five years of age; arid
(ii) possesses a Bachelor's degree from a recognised Cniversity;and
(iii) is a person of ability, integrity and standing and has adequate knowledge or experience of at least ten years in social work or in dealing with the problems relating to street vendors or of public affairs or of municipal or public administration;
6. Salaries and other allowances and terms and conditions of Chairperson and membe� of Grievance redress al and dispute resolution committee.'-- (1) The Chairperson and ' I • members of the Grievance redressal and dispute resolution committee shall receive salary, allqwances and other perquisites as may be notified by the Government from time to time.
(2) The Government may remove from the office, the Chai'· ers0n 2.n.d members of a Grievance redressal and dispute r -"l�iion committee jfhe -
(a) has been adi .'i;ect as an insolvent; or
(b) !las been convic;_ted of an offence ,whi�h, in the opinion of the Government, . ' l ' involves moral turpitude; or ( c) has become physically or mentally incapable of acting as such Chairperson or member, as the case may be; or 4 ( d) has acquired such financial or other interests as is like] y to affect prejudicially his functions as the chairperson or a member, as the case may be; or ( e) . has �o abused his position as to render his continuance in office prejudicial to the public interest:
Provided that the Chairperson or member shall rrot be removed·from his office on the grounds specified in clauses ( d) and ( c) of sub-rule (2) except on an inquiry held \)y the Government in accordance with such procedure as it may specify in this behalf.
(3) The terms and conditions of the service of the Chairperson and members of the Grievance redressal and dispute resolution committee shall not be varied to their disadvantage during their terture of office.
