19 ‘ (1) The Board shall be the highest executive body oftheUsniversityand shall consist of the follOwing as members, namely:-

and two eminent educationists, to be nominated by the State Government for three years.
(d) Elected Members:- Twoteachers of the University onits constituent , .jécolleges3if any, who have put in not less than seven Constitution ' and composition of the Board of ' Management.

Duties and fimctions of the Board.
20 , years teaching experience in any institution of higher technieal education _ in Manipur on V 1?“ January immediately preceding the year in which elections are held, other than University Professors, Deans, 1 Directors ofthe'constituentColleges, sto be elected by the teachers of the University and its constituent colleges from amongst themselves for three years.
(2) One third of members of the Board shall' constitute the quorum for a meeting.
,(3) The Chairman of ‘the Board shall perform such functions and exercise such powers“ as are provided in this Ordinance or as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
(4) The members shall serve without any additional pay but shall be entitled to daily allowance and travellin expenses as may be prescribed by the Statutes. ‘ -
(5) The minutes of meetings. of the Board shall' be recorded and‘maint‘ai‘ned' by the Registrar who is the ex-ofiicio Secretary ofthe Board. '
(6) An" annual meeting of the Board shall be held on a date tofibe fixed by the Vice—Chancellor. At such annual meeting report of the Board of working of the University.
during the previous year together with a statement of the receipts and the expenditure of the balance sheet and the financial estimates shall be presented.
(.7) Special meeting of the Board may be convened by the Chairman ofthe Board as and when necessary.
