Section 3: Prohibition of fishing in maritime zones of India by foreign vessels.

The Maritime Zones of India (Regulation of Fishing by Foreign Vessels) Act, 1981Central Act · Act 42 of 1981

Subject to the provisions of this Act, no foreign vessel shall, except under and in accordance with--

(a) a licence granted under section 4; or

(b) a permit granted under section 5,

by the Central Government, be used for fishing within any maritime zone of India.
